Closed cell backing rod is a compressable polyethylene foam rod. It is used as a backing for cold applied sealants in expansion/construction joints and building seal applications. It is CFC free, non toxic, odourless and has no adhesion to sealants. Product uses include as a vertical and horizontal joint filler, window glazing seals, precast concrete panel joints and vibration dampening. Open cell backing rod is ideal for use with one part sealants.
